Hello my friends!

Well here in Florida, we usually have about two months of winter. I don't even like that much. So no big surprise that when the temperature went from 90 to 60 in two days, of course I got a fever! But, the best comfort food for the chills is always a good soup! I found a wonderful beer cheese soup recipe on pinterest, which I will post her link below. I altered it to fit me, and it was DELISH!!!

I would love to share it with you! Below I will post my version of the recipe. I hope you try it. It is very good.

I hope that you are all having a good week. I am working on multiple projects, trying to stay busy so I don't focus on missing Kristian. But, nothing make me not miss him. But at least I am keeping busy. For the story about Kristian, visit Facebook #teamkristian21.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
2 cups half half
1 cup chicken broth, low sodium
1 cup beer, I used sweetwater
1/4 cup flour, any kind
2 cups white cheddar cheese, grated
1/2cup asiago cheese slices, crumpled
1/2 vidalia onion, minced
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced jalapeño peppers mine were from can
4 tablespoon butter
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp black pepper
Garlic salt to taste
Turmeric
Tarragon
Basil
Bacon bits
Cilantro
Chives

Start by putting butter in pot over medium. Melt butter, add onions, jalapeño and garlic. Caramelize onions, about 20 min. Slowly stir in flour, stirring so as not to brown it. When veggies are soft, add in beer slowly, stirring. Add chicken stock. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add half and half, bring to quick boil then turn back to simmer, stirring constantly. Add cheese, and all spices. Simmer stirring
Occasionally. Warm sourdough bread bowl after cutting top off and scooping out insides for five minutes in oven. Strain soup through strainer or colander. Pour into bread bowl garnish with cilantro, bacon bits, chives. That's it.
